September 26th-30th

In English Third Grade worked on identifying common and proper nouns. We also worked on finding main idea and details in stories that we read.

In Math we continue to practise multiplication. The students wrote the multiplication table of 4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, 8s ans 9s. They tried to memorise it, with the help of some rhymes. We also learnt a trick with fingers that helps multiply by 9 and solved some word problems.

In science we finished the units that talk about the work of scientist: experiments, observation, ways of communicating the findings. The students did some individual work to understand and remember the terms from the unit.

In reading time, the girls can choose from various phonics-based stories. They read individually or in pairs/groups, helping and guiding each other.

Math: In math we were using counting on as out addition strategy. We also did some subtraction practice.

Science: We finished our chapter on how scientists work and we are ready to move on! 🙂
