The kindergarten completed their program with enthusiasm till the vey end. The past two weeks were spent preparing for the show, completing the exercise books, going to the park, and tydying up the classroom. I feel proud to have been part of such a great team. Thank you for your support, presents and kind words. If anyone has photos of our performance they would like to share, please send them to my email address and I will put them on the blog.

Dear parents and students,
Last week Grade 3 went to a second hand book shop to buy fiction and non-fiction books with the money made from the Trade day. We went by metro so that was an adventure as always – we have the tradition of me asking tricky questions or riddles while they try their hardest to answer them. On the spot – there was a special offer for Children’s Day – 2 big boxes full of books – 2 zl each, you buy 6 for 10zl. It was a great idea and we can read a few more books during these last few days of the year.
These last weeks are being spent revising information learned this past year. The student profile discussed this month is reflective – so it’s a great moment to reflect upon all the things they have accomplished this year. So many things I have forgotten about but they didn’t – they reminded me their first and more terrifying performance, their first original poem written, their first play performing in front of their peers, their first movie (mine too hehe) the first original script second third and fourth. all the experiments in Science, all the role plays in Social Studies, the sweat in Math and the fun during Projects! It was particularly touching since this will have been my first and last year at the IAS. And what a wonderful year it has been! As always I was given the best students in school – it was so wonderful to catch their attention, to motivate them, to put smiles on their faces, to teach them everything I could and then some!
I promised them I would give you my personal address and in turn, they promised me they would send “correctly written” cards and letters <3 !! I asked them to brag about their successes and accomplishments and they reminded me I told them that boasting is not good hahahahaha I had to walk back on that! I am 100% sure they will have an amazing grade 4 and wonderful careers!! I know they have to move with their parent but I hope they will be a great, unified group and wonderful friends for a long time. IAS was a wonderful school to work at for me and I’ve never worked with such a diverse group of students and teachers. I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it!
Yesterday, Ms. Agnieszka the Polish teacher organised a trip to the Royal Baths park and Castle with English speaking guides for the whole school! It was a lot of fun learning about kings, observing squirrels, peacocks and having a picnic in the grass. We celebrated summer with ice cream at the end of the day 🙂
The summer birthday party will take place on Wednesday!! June 12th after 1.30 I’m sorry I have written Tuesday by mistake and it is also the day of the Final Spelling Bee Competition. Today we had a lot of practice and I’m so proud at how great they are and how much fun they’re having! You are more than welcome to come especially if your child is in the final – Tuesday is the elimination.
On Tuesday we have the International Day and end of the year celebration and I will have to run to the airport as I’m going to Sardinia for a week!
Thank you again for this wonderful year, wonderful cooperation and perfect students!! I do wish them to have a happy life and to be successful in anything they want to achieve!!
It’s been a quiet week for the kg children as most of them were absent… but for those who were present, we had a lovely time enjoying drawing portraits, reading aloud, writing words with the sound x, listening to the saxophone and the xylophone, and learning more about creepy crawlies. In maths we revised even and odd numbers, and writing numbers to 10 in words.
