Despite the gloomy weather our Kindergarten class experienced another fun week in school!
On Thursday we learned and mastered our first sight words*; the, you, are. Thus, we finished the third Jolly phonics workbook! The books were sent home to proudly show to parents!
If your child is missing any of the worksheet in the book, please help them fill it out 🙂
In maths, we have been working on Counting and cardinality within 20 and practising addition. As an alternative to addition when working with the numbers we introduced the concept of number bonds.
In Science, we have finished our Penguin unit by watching the movie Happy Feet. It was a great opportunity to assess our Penguin knowledge and think about friendship and family values.
*Sight words are words that are most commonly used and should be learned as a whole and recognized upon sight.
