In the past 2 weeks 3rd graders learnt about the negative numbers and how to add and subtract them. Then we revised decimals. The students compared decimals, found them on number lines and learnt to round them. They also illustrated decimals with a pizza. Some took it very literally 😀 Well done!
This week our school transferred all the teaching to the Internet. It is a challenge for the whole community: students, parents and teachers but so far it is going very, very well! Everyone attends the video conferences and works hard at home. We can all be proud of ourselves! Great job!
In math the 4th graders learnt how does the coordinate grid work. They found coordinates of given points and then translated and rotated shapes on the coordinate grid.
In science we are revising the properties and states of matter. The students have also learnt to count density. They revised how the change of temperature affects the states of matter and how do particles behave then. They have also made models of the Solar System.
